Four fans found guilty of hate crimes against Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior. Three members of the group were sentenced to 14 months in prison. While one was sentenced to 22 months for distributing images of the act online.

However, the jail term was suspended. After the four signed a letter of apology to the Brazil international, Madrid, La Liga and the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
The punishments include a ban on the four coming within a kilometre of Vinicius. Either at his residence or Real Madrid’s training ground, and from attending La Liga or Spain matches.
Vinicius Junior has been the subject of regular racism since moving from Flamengo to Real Madrid in 2018.
The Brazilian has play 316 times for Los Blancos. And was subjected to racist chants by Atletico Madrid fans during a La Liga game in September 2022.
Later that month, the 24-year-old was again targeted during a match against Real Valladolid. With five of the men subsequently given suspended sentences.
