Another busy day…..

Another busy day in the middle of a busy week.  I am delighted that my books and bookmarks will be featured in a display case in the Newton Branch of the Surrey Library for the month of April, 2012.  I think it’ll bring renewed interest in my books and my lecturing and library events are great events.  I get to entertain and tell my stories and the library works on getting the people there.  A match made in heaven.

When I turned my computer on yesterday afternoon I learned that the article I sent off to the Surrey Art’s Council contest won Honorable Mention so I’ll be picking up my certificate today and since my 10 copies of Chicken Soup for the Soul arrived yesterday I’ll be shipping out my first order along with a signed copy of Diana Gabaldon’s  Special Edition of the Outlander to a friend in Kelowna.  The first thing I did was to check the “contributors” section.  Yes my name is spelled right and both my e-mail address AND my website are listed.

Last night I had dinner with friends in the building and I took along a copy of Chicken Soup, read my story and discovered that it is really funny.  I had forgotten that.  Everyone laughed when they were supposed to.

I e-mailed 2 newspapers, The Surrey Now and the Surrey Leader, and I’m hoping they will do a story about me for their ‘Local” section.  I also made arrangements with the manager of the local Chapters’ bookstore to sign a few copies.

I also have to start getting organized…..after all I am leaving for the winter November 15th.    Have a great day everyone.   Joei
