Welcome to October

Hard to believe that the summer is over and from August to yesterday I was delighted to be home, keeping myself busy with writing, beading, selling and enjoying my friends.  October is going to be a busy month and that started yesterday – although I must confess it started with a whimper rather than a roar.  Yesterday was day 1 at the Surrey Art’s Council craft show and for me, and most of the other vendors – except for the hot dog guy outside – it was a bust.  We had non-stop (and way too loud) entertainment that was (except for a couple of acts) mediocre at best.  We couldn’t talk to our potential customers without screaming.  They promised it would be lower today with 10 to 15 minute intermissions.  Today it is only 4 hours so let’s see if my nerves can stand it.

The firehall door was wide open and it was chilly and rainy outside so I went out to my truck (parked on the street after unloading) to get my jacket to discover that some asshole had dumped a whole container of soda pop in the bed.  I know I’ve said this before but I do live in the most wonderful complex in British Columbia called Chelsea Gardens – it’s just too bad it has to be in Surrey.  Sucks in this neighborhood and our mayor – Dianne Watts – has decided to CRAP it up even further but that’s a (w)hole other story.

Anyway I’m hoping today will be a better day and I’m going to insert a picture that I took from my balcony a few days ago.  It was the most incredible sky I had ever seen.

Have a great day everyone.  Joei
