On the Road – Tomorrow

Yesterday I picked up the more than 20 Mini Reads of How I Lost 3 Pounds in 30 Years of Dieting without Going Hungry that I had trimmed.  (I only had one left to sell) I filled up with fuel and put air in my air shocks and came back to the campground.  Since it was not raining I should have attached the truck and camper but I wanted one more day of talking with the new arrivals in the campground.

I awoke to more rain this morning and I was kicking myself for not getting my outside jobs done but I do get lazy sometimes.  The rain stopped for about 10 minutes – even saw the sun for a minute – and went out and attached everything and five minutes after finishing the rain started again.  I’m delighted to get back out on the road tomorrow and am debating to work my way through Save on Foods stores or just drive and get home in 3 or 4 days.  I’m leaning towards just driving.

Right now I’m waiting for Shaw Cable to return my call.  My services are supposed to be turned back on early September and I know they need a couple of weeks so I want them turned on as soon as possible.  I might have to be without the internet for a week or so but I live right across the street from the library and can use their computers an hour a day or I can bring my laptop and play (or work) to my heart’s content.  As far as television is concerned I haven’t seen television for 5 or 6 weeks and it hasn’t killed me yet or I feel safe.

In short……even if it is raining at home I’ll have 1,220 feet to roam around in instead of cooped up in the 10 feet of my camper.  I’ll have my friends around, Friday night Pub nights, Wednesday morning coffees, my FANTASTIC writing group and everything else I need to be contented – for at least a week or two.    Joei
