Getting Anxious to leave
T onight I’ll be organizing my books for my book signing at SpeeDee Books and Stationery Store in Smithers, British Columbia tomorrow at noon. I’ll bring 5 of each book into the store with oodles in my truck just in case sales are brisk and have been invited to sell my bookmarks as well. Since I started making them, my bookmarks have outsold each of my books and even I have to admit they are gorgeous especially when the tail hangs out of a book. Unfortunately I am running out of my unique findings and replacing them in Smithers would be so expensive I would have to double the cost of the bookmark and even then would not break even.
The book signing is on Saturday and I think my month is Smithers runs out next Thursday or Friday – not sure which. I’ll be heading back to Surrey at that time. I had planned on staying the summer but the weather has been the pits which means book sales are slim to none. I don’t take my books out in the rain and no one has been sitting outside in the evening because of the cold.
Since I’ve been indoors so much watching movies and 4 seasons of Boston Legal on my computer I have run out of findings for my bead work. Also since I’ve been indoors so much I have almost completed my Mini Read on Greece. Normally I would say “that is a good thing” but there is no one here to help proofread it and I would hate to start another Mini without this one being completed finished and out for sale.
In short – looking forward to heading home. Joei
